Fall Alley Clean-Up

HMP held its fall alley clean-up on November 7 from 8:00 AM to Noon. Led by Dick Luchtman, HMP’s “Titan of Trash,” neighbors and other volunteers raked, shoveled, and collected trash along the alleys serving Washington Boulevard and Pennsylvania and Delaware Streets.
HMP’s alleys are cleaned twice a year as a service of the neighborhood association. [...]

Historic Meridian Park has a new neighbor! The Mid-North Food Pantry, Inc. (MNFP) has moved to the Trinity Outreach Center at 3333 North Meridian Street. The building, once home to a mental health clinic, has been refurbished to accommodate several non-profit organizations.

2009 Fall Festival Recap

On September 20, several dozen neighbors gathered for HMP’s 7th annual Fall Festival. The family-friendly event included the popular chili cook-off and cornbread competitions. In addition to chili and cornbread, many neighbors brought side dishes and desserts to share.

The name of our neighborhood, Historic Meridian Park, has its roots in the subdivision and sale of the Osgood Estate Lands in 1905, which up to that time had been devoted to agriculture.
