Over the past 18 months, many Historic Meridian Park neighbors were involved in the visualization, planning, and execution of our “Front Porches: Reflecting & Connecting” 2010 Home and Garden Tour. The tour was been coordinated almost exclusively by individuals living within Historic Meridian Park. Residents are invited to bring their favorite dishes to share: appetizers, salads, side dishes, or desserts. HMP will provide drinks and table service. The event will be held from 11:30 AM to 2 PM. Residents are encouraged to cheer, chalk streets, make signs, and/or play music to motivate runners and walkers participating in the second “Monumental Marathon” half marathon on Saturday, November 7. If residents plan to leave the neighborhood that morning they should plan for delays entering and/or exiting. The half marathon participants will begin entering the neighborhood on Washington Boulevard at approximately 8:35 AM and will come back down Pennsylvania Street at approximately 8:45 AM.
