The following neighborhoods and cultural districts are among the list of Historic Districts in the National Register of Historic Places in Indianapolis.
Neighborhoods
Historic Urban Neighborhoods of Indianapolis (HUNI): Find what’s happening in over 25 historic neighborhoods around Indianapolis.
Chatham Arch: Roughly bounded by I-65, College Avenue, 10th Street, 11th Street, North Street New Jersey Street, Cleveland Avenue, and East Street, features examples of Italianate, Queen Anne, and Gothic Revival architecture.
Cottage Home: Bounded by 10th Street, College Avenue, Michigan Street, and Oriental Street; adjacent to Arsenal Tech High School.
Fletcher Place: Bounded by Louisiana Street, I-65, I-70, and East Street.
Forest Hills: Located in the larger Meridian-Kessler neighborhood, this section is bounded by the Monon railroad tracks, Kessler Boulevard, College Avenue, and Northview Avenue.
Herron-Morton Place: Bounded by 16th Street, 22nd Street, Pennsylvania Street, and Central Avenue.
Irvington: Located east of downtown, bounded by 10th Street, Emerson Avenue, Brookville Road, and Arlington Avenue.
