In addition to sampling delicious pies at our “Pie and Possibilities” event in November, neighbors discussed what “vibrant and inclusive” means to us and envisioned HMP in 2035. Here are some of the themes that emerged:
- Active and Connected: Engaging activities and events, informal chats on porches, children playing in shared spaces, and “hellos” exchanged during walks.
- Diverse and Welcoming: Embracing the diversity of color, income, religion, and age. Recognizing a diversity of personalities and abilities by offering a variety of ways to be involved (social, service, etc.).
- Beautiful Public Spaces: There is a strong desire for walkable sidewalks, well-kept green spaces, and more public art.
