Last December, many of you shared ideas during our neighborhood visioning exercise. We heard from you and now it’s time to act. This year, the board is focusing on turning your feedback into visible progress across the neighborhood. In fact, almost immediately, you will notice the board has already acted on a few priority items.

Our priority is moving forward with the ideas you raised. The visioning themes are guiding our decisions, projects, and conversations, and you’ll see updates as plans take shape.

Next, we want to explore ways to boost participation in neighborhood social events or empower and support neighbors who want to pursue their own initiatives for the neighborhood. Everyone is welcome and we all miss out when some of us do not feel comfortable attending, do not feel welcome, miss the announcement for the event, or don’t feel like they can start a neighborhood initiative and receive support. Strong neighborhoods are built through connection and showing up matters. Whether it’s a block gathering, a meeting, or a casual event, we encourage you to join us, meet your neighbors, and be part of the scene that makes HMP thrive.

We’re also asking neighbors to help strengthen the association by paying annual dues. Dues directly support events, communication, and neighborhood improvements and projects. Increased participation means more resources and more impact for everyone.

Finally, we want to support your ideas. If you have an initiative that benefits the neighborhood, we want to help you move it forward. Bring your ideas, volunteer to lead, or partner with other neighbors to make something happen.

The progress of HMP depends on participation. Attend an event. Pay your dues. Share an idea. Lend a hand. Together, we can begin to realize the dreams you have for HMP.
