The stately and unusual Walker Residence home on the southeast corner of 34th Street and Washington Boulevard was built in 1907 for the McCoy-Howe Chemical Company’s vice president William Walker and his wife Lahla. The Walkers purchased the land (two adjacent lots) to build their home from Ida Osgood. The Osgood family farm originally encompassed much of what is today our neighborhood.
