One of the things that makes our neighborhood so special is the little green spaces we all get to enjoy, specifically the pocket park and the roundabout. These spots add charm, give the neighborhood a touch of nature, and make the HMP neighborhood feel welcoming. But they don’t stay that way on their own.
We’re looking for a few helping hands to join in the care and upkeep of these spaces. Whether it’s mowing the grass, pulling weeds, planting flowers, or giving the roundabout a facelift or a tidy-up, every bit of help makes a big difference. You don’t need to be an expert gardener, just someone who enjoys being outdoors and takes pride in our neighborhood. And it’s a nice break for the neighbors who take on these tasks so that everyone can enjoy the space.
If everyone pitches in a little, we can keep these shared spaces beautiful without it being a big burden on any one person. It’s also a great way to meet neighbors, get some fresh air, and take part in something that benefits us all.
If you’d like to volunteer or even just take a turn now and then, please reach out to board@historicmeridianpark.org. Consider volunteering to help keep the roundabout and park looking good and a bright welcoming spot for everyone to enjoy.
