The first gathering of the 2023 “Ladies of HMP” was hosted by Kelsi Maja Crawford in one of the oldest homes in the neighborhood. Built in 1900, the 123-year old home undoubtedly has hosted many gatherings, raised many children, and has untold stories of a bygone era dwelling within its walls. The next one will be hosted by Dorothea Irwin at her home at 3105 N. Pennsylvania Street on Thursday, June 1 starting at 6:30 PM.

The Ladies of HMP is open to all neighborhood ladies who want to spend time together. Thursday, July 20 and Tuesday, August 29 need a host to supply the location, drinks, and snacks. The host gets to select the start time of 6:00, 6:30, or 7:00 PM.

Those interested in a round of pre-festivity miniature golf should meet Lorraine Vavul at the Children’s Museum Sports Legends Experience at 4:00 PM. The museum is open until 5:00 PM. Membership to the museum is free for all HMP residents regardless of whether you have kids. To get a free neighborhood membership card, bring your driver’s license and two utility bills to the Museum box office.
