Several officers with IMPD’s North District spoke at the January 8 neighborhood meeting about neighborhood safety. Officer Robyn Frazier mentioned that the size of North District is very large and they have about 200 officers to cover the entire district. A comparison for illustration is that the North District is about the size of Cincinnati. Cincinnati has ~1200 officers. The North District has considerably less. For this reason, officers must triage their responses to incidents. They place the highest importance on issues of quality of life.
Officer Frazier asks that when reporting a crime or suspicious activity to remember to give as much detail as possible for the responding officers.
