August 2014 Pocket Park Update

The Home Tour committee is seeking volunteers for all aspects of the Home Tour.
As part of the Mapleton-Fall Creek Development Corporation’s (MFCDC’s) ongoing efforts to build a stronger, safer, and inclusive community, they work hard to retain and attract homeowners to the Mapleton-Fall Creek neighborhood.
On June 6, 2014 many neighbors and Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, Inc. (KIB) volunteers gathered at the pocket park.
The Annual Summer BBQ will be Saturday, August 2, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on 32nd St. between Pennsylvania St. and Washington Blvd.
If you have not been by the Pocket Park lately, you are encouraged to see the work already completed.
Resident Doug Day has been actively involved in the Destination Fall Creek project and Midtown area development.
On May 15, 2014 John Carmer, Chris Gautier, and Brenda Havens each took groups of 10-15 people on walking tours of Historic Meridian Park.
After 8 months of discussions, negotiations, and waiting for a few remaining tenants to depart, representatives of St. Richard’s Episcopal School (SRES) and Trinity closed on the joint acquisition of the Atkinson Building.
